Course description

Students taking this course are new to photography. Students with some photography knowledge will also learn how to use the concepts presented in the class. This class is designed to introduce students to the basic knowledge of photography, learning how to make the most of their cameras and how to begin editing their photos using the Photos app that is installed with Windows 10 and 11. In this class, students will learn about the exposure triangle: aperture, shutter speed and ISO and how to use these to properly expose their photos. During the course, students will be directed to practice what they have learned in class by taking instructor led photos. This is a 4-week course. During the 3rd week, students will take a photography field trip around the Metrotech campus to take sample photos. During the 4th week, students will download their photos to the Metro tech class computer and use the Windows Photo app to perform some basic editing to their photos.
